Chest on Chest
Inspired by the classic chest on chest design, this version became more a chest on cabinet in the end. The different woods used throughout the piece are almost too numerous to list. Cherry, wenge, walnut, pin oak, and mahogany are contrasted with recycled painted bead board and reclaimed long leaf yellow pine. Open the drawers with the found pulls to find a recycled sign inside. Boom! This cabinet might remind you of a bolt of lightning, but was inspired by a stair stringer that we once used as a pair of doors. Small Ash Bench
A variation on our Ax Handle Bench, this bench is made entirely of ash. Milk paint is used to detail the edge of the seat and the ax handle legs. It is a great seat at the bottom of our Highpost Bed, in an entry way, or even in the living room as a small coffee table. The top is solid ash. We are not always comfortable receiving awards. We work hard at what we do, constantly trying to improve. We were honored and humbled this weekend at The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen Fine Craft Fair in Wilmington, Delaware to receive a Benchmark Award for Craft Excellence.
