<p><strong>A few years ago</strong> I became interested in old cast iron tractor seats. I soon learned about and joined the Cast Iron Seat Collectors Association and was amazed at the variety of seats that were produced in the late nineteenth century.</p> <p>I began buying seats that I found at farm auctions and making them into one of a kind counter height swivel stools. I&#8217;d produced about fifteen stools, but was limited to only the seats that I could find at auction.</p> <p>In 2007 I began working with an Amish foundry in Lancaster County, PA. They have been able to reproduce one of my favorite cast iron seat designs, complete with the Bradford Woodworking logo.
