• Counter Height Pitchfork Chair

The Counter Height Pitchfork Chair is adapted from our dining height chair design. This version with a 25" high seat is perfect for your kitchen counter. The legs are made with solid ash turned on a century old ax handle lathe. A ripple texture is created as the lathe cuts a continuous spiral down the length of the wood blank. These legs are then sanded by hand and cut to length. Legs are joined to the seat with wedged through-tenons. The seat is sanded to a smooth contour that everybody would find comfortable. Your feet can find a home on the solid steel footrest. Available in both fixed and swivel versions.

This style is also available in bar height.

  • Counter Height Ax Handle Stool

The Ax Handle Stool lives in the heart of Brad’s design concept. New life and purpose is given to the ax handles that Brad had seen during his childhood on the farm. Solid ash wood is turned on a century old ax handle lathe. A ripple texture is created as the lathe cuts a continuous spiral down the length of the wood blank. These legs are then sanded by hand and cut to length. They are then attached to the solid cherry seat by a through tenon fastened with a solid walnut wedge. The seat is sanded to a smooth contour that everybody would find comfortable. Your feet can find a home on the solid steel footrest.

  • Counter Height Pure & Simple Stool

The Pure & Simple Stool is my new stool design. I’ve been wanting to make a stool that has simple, pure lines with the same quality and craftsmanship as my Ax Handle Stools.

My Pure & Simple Stool has tapered ash legs with a subtle texture. The texture is from being made on one of my century-old lathes as the lathe cuts a continuous spiral down the length of the wood blank. These legs are then sanded by hand and cut to length. They are then attached to the solid cherry seat by a through tenon fastened with a solid walnut wedge. The seat is sanded to a smooth contour that everybody would find comfortable.
